Gallegos
Born and bred in London, before moving to Somerset, Gallegos is a true underground gem on the rise. Music was in his veins from day one, with the trumpet and drums becoming his early companions. But it was the influential documentary SCRATCH that propelled him onto the path of turntablism after being gifted with Technics 1210s at just twelve years old.
Gallegos' beat juggling skills grew, building routines after drawing inspiration from A-Trak, DJ Premier, DJ Shadow, and Afrika Bambaataa. The Drum and Bass scene called, and Bristol's raves became his haunt. So it didn't take long for Bristol to become home turf and a place where his passion for music could truly thrive. It was here he Co-founding SHAPES, a legendary clubbing Bristol Institute where he shared stages with many electronic legends Jeff Mills, Leftfield, Floating Points, Carl Craig and DJ Bone amongst others.
Soon, production became his canvas, his extensive musical footprint includes releases on Slump Recordings, Holding Hands, Semi Delicious, On Loop, Banoffee Pies, Curving Track, Feeling Worldwide, Aurore 404 Records, Duality Trax, Permanent Vacation and his own label Room Service. He has also showcased his remixing skills on tracks by Robert Owens, nd_baumacker, Demi Riquisimo, and Ian Pooley, creating a diverse catalogue that mirrors his eclectic tastes and broad musical influences.
Gallegos has quickly gathered widespread acclaim and support for his inimitable contribution to the dance music canon from institutional radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, BBC Introducing and SWU.Fm (where he has a monthly show). Esteemed artists such as nd_baumecker, Bradley Zero, Moxie, Eris Drew, Job Jobse, TSHA, Greentea Peng, Emerald, Avalon Emerson, Kornel Kovacs, and Cinthie have all shown support.
In only the last 2 years, Gallegos has maintained his upward momentum, from numerous appearances at the seminal club Panorama Bar to making his debut on Boiler Room from Warehouse Project, all sentiment to his ability and trajectory.
